Jon Tulchin

Jon Tulchin is a composer and archeologist based in Hawai'i. He works with contact mics, found objects, field recordings, invented acoustic and electric instruments, and turntables. Some of his recordings examine the projection of sound through wood, metals and air, much in the same manner as Toshiya Tsunoda, but he has also released works consisting of straight, untreated field recordings.
