Philip Mantione
His work has been presented around the globe in countries from Eastern and Western Europe, Asia, Australia, and North and South America. Some notable venues and events include the Bing Theater at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Merkin Hall (NYC), Baltimore Contemporary Art Museum, Islip Art Museum (NY), Center for Contemporary Art (Santa Fe,NM), SESI' Cultural Centre (San Paulo, Brazil), Centre de Cultura Contemporània(Barcelona, Spain), National Museum of Fine Arts (Havana, Cuba), the European Media Arts Festival (Osnabrück, GE) and several other media arts festivals world-wide.
He has collaborated extensively with visual artist Alysse Stepanian on numerous projects including performance, installation and experimental video. L.P. Streitfeld, art critic and writer for the New York Times and The Advocate & Greenwich Times, has described their work as "a wry and profound commentary on the conflicted state of America's emotions." Their work has been shown internationally in Asia, Europe, North/South America and the Middle East.
